My experiences in English Classes

My first experience in english classes in the university was the last year, in 2019 I enter in English Begginer program, or Intermediate I can’t remember to well hehehe, It was the same things as in this class, one hour of the blogs and other of content, like presentations or quizes and so on. Now in this year with the context of the COVID-19 pandemic it has been difficult to everyone, and make this classes more bearable it must be complex, but being honest the classes have been good.

I like so much the blogs, the idea of a blog always has interesting me hehehe, so in this english classes I had a good time making it, also the thematics to choose are fun too. Talking about interesting things, I like that the topics that we discuss in class to learn the content, like social causes or politics and so on, according with the contexts of the world and very reflexive, not apolitical.

In this classes I think I improve much better my listening, reading and understanding, but the talking it’s hard for me because the pronuntations sometime it’s hard, that’s fun because I use a lot of english expresions in my day xD I try to improve my english skills watching youtube videos or movies in english, the strategy of youtube videos are really usegul, I 100% recommend it hahaha.

Also I do not pretend to make fun of this, but it’s fun to me imitate with my friends the english ancents of scottish, irish or australian people, because is more complex and difficult but funny sometimes xD, also I want to understand the "deformation" of this accents.

And that's all, thanks for read my blog u.u

Postgraduate Studies

Thanks to the pandemic of coronavirus, this year are some difficult to me to learn the things of the career, so I think when I finish this career, I want to delve into some topics that have taught us, especially in linguistics and contemporary society, I searched in the page of FACSO and I found a magister in Sociocultural Anthropology and sounds cool, this magister helps to understand and discuss better the sociocultural transformations in the contemporary world.

The magister brings various subjects, especially theoretical seminars about ethnography, politics, culture, ethnicity, debates and so on.

Also, I want some magisters in literature or linguistics because the language is something really important in these days, besides I found a diplomat called Ethnography, Archive and Audiovisual Communication and sounds interesting, specially two subjects called Audiovisual language as discourse and The construction of knowing from image and sound, I think that knowledge will be more didactic and interesting in this times.

In some point of the postgraduate studies I want to take some magisters or doctorates abroad, searching a little I found some magisters in Madrid and Barcelona, sounds great for my but also I want another country to learn new perspectives of anthropology, preferably in another language hehehe.

Thinking about the type of studies, I think I would take a part time course, basically because it would not take too much time.

My future job (but I hope that's not the only one)

I started to study anthropology in the 2019, before that I always want to writting things, speacially essasys and reports, something more like journalist or literature (I study anthropology because the “mix” of story, philosophy and language).

In the beginning I knew that this career had the “ability” to change the things, and that’s motivated me a lot but in an “academy way”.

That changes when I started the subject “The work of anthropologist” with the teachers Flora Vilches and Jorge Razeto I found a new perspective of the anthropology, more socially engaged, more comimtted with the people, with the victims of the capitalist system, the victims of injustice.

I would like to go to those places when people need help, communities affected by different problems such as environmental disasters, extractivism or the neglect of a company for example.

Anyways I want to write essays but also go to the people of a communities and try to help them.

The three specialities of anthropology in university of Chile (social, physical and arqueology) have their things where can help people, but I think social anthropology are more “direct” with the people indeed.

Talking about the salary, this is not bad at all (for mi expectations of life), seems good.

So that’s all, thanks Flora and Jorge for their work with that subject hehehe.

Weird movie

I like so much the movies, if I don’t studing anthropology I was studing cinem, in the last years I searching new types of cinema, pretentious things how I much like them xD.

In 2017 searching in the web I found a japanse animation movie (but not anime there’s a diference hahaha) called “Tenshi No Tamago” (Angel’s Eggs in English) and it look interesting so I decided to watch it, the movie lasts 71 minutes.

Is a “science fiction” movie about a young girls who take care an egg and carry it all the time, in a surrealistic and strange world, until a mysterious man appears and stars follow the girl.

The movie is really weird and the storytelling isn’t clear at all, but I really apreciate it for a lot of things, the movie show me a new type of cinema, more surrealistic, more interpretative from the part of the viewer, the frames and the own world are telling us what is happening.

Also the art of the movie are really good, the desing of the characters and the world, the soundtrack is mysterious and beautiful, so beautiful like the rest of the movie, I watch it a couple of times and I recommend it (except if you are sleepy hehehe)

What I do during the confinement

The “oficially” quarentine began in Puente Alto near the second week of April, but since the end of March we did not leave the house. (I can't celebrate my birthday :C)

I spend the most part of my day preparing the works for university or doing the things around the house.

I have gone out for a few times, mostly to buy food for the house with the “Junaeb Card” hahaha.

When I have some free time I do several things, for example I listen a lot of music, lately I have listen Luis Alberto Spinetta, really good music hehe, I aslo discovered the ambient music, for exemple the artist Chihei Hatakeyama, his quiet music has helped me a lot to carry the confinement.

Recently I play Civ VI with my friends xD and talking about my friends, I haven’t be able to see any of them since the quarentine began but we can talk online a little. My parents have safe conduits so they can work, but I’m concerned that they can get Covid, specially for their jobs, my mom in a pharmacy and my dad as a delivery man :c but I can see my sister and my grandma and that's fine.

I send you nanais people we can make it :D

A really niceful vacations

I really like the ocean, it brings me a lot of peaceful, the smell and the sound of sea makes me feel calm, a cousin of my grandma has a house in El Tabo in Valparaiso region, so she borrows it.

The house is on the “hills” of El Tabo so we were far from the beach, but the place is really quiet, the views of the ocean are wonderful and the house is near to the forest.

I have gone many times in my whole life, but I remember the last time we went, in the vacations of 2019 me and my family for a week.

We spend the time going to the beach, visit the craft fairs, playing cards game (Carioca) all the nights (and I always won) and Pool (and I always lose), we make a fire and burned marshmallows and meat (before I became a vegetarian) jejeje.

Also we visit a nearby place called “Quintay” really beutiful with the cliffs and the hills in front of the ocean, really awesome.

Japan, a interesting place.

I’m always interested in the distant and exotic cultures, the world is full of that but if I had to choose would be Japan.

First of all, the culture is so intriuging and mystical, radically different of the western culture, they have myths and beliefs really insteresting for example the local religión called ‘’Shinto’’.

Second, the country are full of many beautiful places to visit like the capital Tokio, Fuji Mountain and the other cities like Kioto, Nara, Hiroshima etc, full of castles, temples and curious places, places when you can learn about the long and complex history of Japan.

I like Japan but until a certain point, I would like to visit it but I don’t to stay there because the work culture is very demanding and inhuman, their people live only for work with bad consequences like depression. Also some aspects of their culture don’t like me like the conservatism and sexism.
But I want to visit Japan anyways.
